“As days pass by, the time” for the release of the worlds first foldable phones draws near. Samsung pitched the idea of a foldable smartphone way back in 2011. But if we look at the facts then it’s a different story. Here is Why Foldable Smart Phone’s War begin?
“We ran out of runway on interesting ideas for smartphones, so the fight is about screen size.”
This idea was originally stated by Chris Harrison, an assistant professor at Carnegie Mellon University’s Human-Computer Interaction Institute. He also stated that,
“Pretty much the only way to get more screen real estate is to move to the back of the display or to go to some foldable thing.”
But such was not the case because it was not that easy to implement this idea. Pitching and Implementing are two different cases. It may seem easy to pitch an idea but its way more difficult to just implement it.
And now here we are, just days before official launches of foldable smartphones. It took time but it proved to be
quite fruitful. Why fruitful? Because now we’ve got not one but Four foldable smartphones waiting to be launched this year.
Some may say that being a bigger company Samsung’s product may hit the mark. But that’s not the case in my opinion. Both of them will give each other a tough time. We will compare both phones by the rumored or official specs they offer.
Huawei Mate X
40-megapixel + 16-megapixel + 8-megapixel
Samsung Galaxy Fold
16-megapixel + 12-megapixel + 12-megapixel
Here I’ve listed out some of the key specs of these foldable phones except for their prices. As their prices have not yet been confirmed, the expected ones still seem to be eye-watering. Keeping these specs in mind, it’s up to you to decide which one to look out for.
